Artist Statement

In my art installation work, I explore traditional and non-traditional ways of bringing art and ideas into the public sphere. In addition to gallery shows, I have designed and constructed portable art display systems and organized public installations of artwork. I continue to vend my work in cities around the world, including a successful art tour across eastern Canada. Through art installation, I am pushing for imaginative ways of reaching, engaging and inspiring people with art.

I believe that art has a place in all aspects of life and can be modeled to fit any type of space. It’s very presence can enrich an environment, stimulate social activity, spark creative thought and bring life to an otherwise vacant space. In my ongoing artistic development I am continually expending my knowledge of mediums, working process, tools, design solutions etc, which I then incorporate successfully in my art installation work.
